Soo..!

Yesterday, I  went to school for the Excel field trip to the Akron Art Musuem and the Kent State University fashion musuem. Both were great(= but too BAD we weren't allowed to take pictures there , or I would've fa-shizzzle (my new way of saying "for-sure"). I'm excited for Saturday, as there is a football game PLUS my cousin's 5th birthday party!! Sunday, I have a softball game-double-header at the Lisbon fields. You could come watch, but I'd more reccomend coming to one of my soccer games, only because I'm a little better at soccer than softball. Although, in my last softball game I got four outs! I got two in one inning playing second base, my fave position other than pitcher. I also hit the ball pretty good, but someone caught it : ( !! Just some updates on what's going on with me! mom is newly obsessed with DUnkin' Donuts. So today, I'm less sick than yesterday. I'm watching tv and mom took me and jj to dunkin' donuts so she could get her coffee fixture. And now...enjoy some random pictures!

After the top 7 and 8 year old wrestlers, my bros are in the top TEN.. were crowned at the state tournament! They did great in their tournament. But this is an old picture. Me: "Sigh, i've been here aaaaalllll day!" Steven: "Awkward position.." Kenny: "I need a hotdog from the concessions..pronto!" JJ: "Eh, lets just hope mommy has extra strawberry dum dums"

An even sweeter JJ licking sweet batter.

Until next time.!

THE Craze: Planking, Owling, + More

So I read about these internet photo trends: planking, owling, teapotting, and horsemaning. I decided to show you other peoples' versions of the photo trends, then I'll show you mine. Don't forget to plank, owl, teapot, and horseman for yourself. Just be safe- one man decided to (really) plank on a 7th-floor apartment building, fell, and died. Anyway!
Planking is laying expressionless on a flat surface.

Teapotting is doing the "imma little teapot" motion.

Owling is squatting down, much like an owl. Hoot-hoot!

What do you think of my owling, planking, AND teapotting/? wHICH would you do, if any?
Until next time,
Sydney*

September (At A Glance)

^ My soccer picture.

First day of school! ^ We had a plentiful summer, now it's time to hit the books and rules again once more.

Fall softball. Dad took this with his Droid smartphone!

I got a feather extension (very popular among girls my age) and 3 inches off haircut! Please give your opinion.I got it at Hedz Up!, which is right down the road. My friends mom owns it!

I'd like to shout out to my cousin Kylie..its her 5th birthday today! Happy bday ky!

School is good so far. I am on student council, I am in sixth-grade choir, I am a cafeteria table washer..whew that's a ton of stuff! :) It is fun so far, though.
I have tons of new friends

In soccer, I'm doing awesome! I'm also happy(: I found out that even though i wont play fall soccer next year (mom wants me to do volleyball...) i can still always play indoor soccer in winter. Soccer is fun! My positions are: forward, offensive midfielder, defensive midfielder, and defender. In a nutshell, I play every position EXCEPT for goalie! i play with a bunch of fourteen year olds, that are 2 whole grades above me and they tower over me..im the tiniest! But I still have fun.

In softball, I play with other sixth graders, though. We are doing good!

So, basically, I'm pretty satisfied with September so far.

FLASHBACKS--

Each month, I do a flashback of that month years ago. This month, September...but here's it at a glance 3 yrs ago back in 2008! When i was Kenny's age.
This wasn't my first day of 3rd grade, but I suppose the 3rd day...(Kindergarten, kenny's first day below ..starts later)

Kenny is amped for k!

kENNY; Seriously?

THE HISTORIC day! Kenny didn't enjoy kindergarten. :(

Afterwards, he played a game of soccer. I remember the ONLY reason he liked the sport was playing goalie!

(Don't worry, Kenny wasn't punching the boy, Nicolas). Just roughousing on the benches.

Let's NOT forget ..JJ!

And this is ADORABLE Steven, at age 4 at his LAST year of pre-k. He would be turning 5 within a few mo's. Sooo cute!! (= This was before he was off to pre-k, munching on some Dorito's.

& Now, here i am..
Me and my friends from softball!!

Me and my best friends, but this was taken in 3rd grade. Those 2 friends are both on the above softball team,. Can you find them???

Until next time. :)

Jinx.

I'm sorry, lately I haven't been posting very often. I know I'm not that busy.. but here's my excuse/ I have school, then homework, then calling a friend or two, then eating dinner, then going to either softball, soccer, or football, et cetera.
Onstage at the church accepting my certificate!!

1. School: schoool is good so far. Kenny is enjoying his start of excel, and so am i ALTHOUGH Ive been in it most of elementary. Steven is enjoying school, I guess.

2. Feathery FEATHERS. Know how feathers are all the craze in your hair for girls ages 10-14? I'm getting a feather and haircut on this coming Tuesday. I'll post pictures whenever i get them.

3. Soccer. Yeaaah buddy, lately I've not been good, not great, buT EPIC in soccer. I play the most aggresive positions: forward, mid, &defender, and I've been scoring, too. Our team yesterday tied against West Branch 2-2. I play on the u14 competitve league for United and have been practicing each week, with games twice a week. Totaling, I'm away from home playing soccer for about a total of 4-5 hours every week, just for some good quality exersice and develeopmental stuff for soccer, while being with a bunch of way-older girls and boys. =)

And you know what? Life's good.

Hmmm.

School is great~ eveything is goin' well so far. But, I want to share a Duct Tape craft w/ ya.

For this, you will need: one pencil, some duct tape (they now come in cool colors and patterns, so go on www.ducktape.com to purchase), and...
Get your craftgirl! It should be, *cough, cough* someone who loves crafts. :D

You must begin with an amount of green duct tape that is only slightly shorter than the actual pencil. You will lay the duct tape down and...

...roll the pencil around in it, until it is tightly covered in green tape. Viola- your stem has been finished. =

Take a 3-inch section of a different color or pattern of duct tape. Lay it down sticky-side up.

Fold the 2 top corners in so that...

...the end result will look like a newspaper hat.

Wrap each "petal" around the top.

It also helps if your craftgirl is organized, and loves to plan ahead.

Layer your colors, and the end result is terrific. Perfect bribery gift. :)

takes like 6-10 minutes to make.

Normal post again tomorow!

Another Syd-TASTIC Recipe: Monkey Munch

Sure, Monkey Munch DOES sound kind of odd, but it's the best thing I've ever tasted. It's a good, unique treat to fill party bowls or to munch on whenever you're hungry and craving peanut-butter-chocolate bite size things . Anyhoo, I was requested to post my favorite recipe (other than Gramma Lori's cookies or mom's tomato/cheese shells). here it is! Me, Kenny, Steven, JJ, Mom, AND Dad all love it and I hope you will too. The recipe is simple. Or, just buy some at the White House Fruit Farm like we did once.

Ingrediants: 9 cups of chex cereal (any variety) ; 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips ; 1/2 cup peanut butter ; 1/4 cup butter or margarine ; 1 teaspoon of vanillla ; 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar. **Simplicity!**

Directions:
1- Put chex in a large bowl, set aside
2- Place chocolate chips, peaunut butter, and butter/margarine in a microwaveable bowl

3- Stir the ingrediants together
4- Microwave the mixture uncovered for a minute on "high." Stir the mix again and continue to zap in thirty second intervals until it mixes smoothly
5- Add the vanilla and stir

6- Put the combination into a 2-gallon Ziploc freezer bag (or whatever)
7- Add the powdered sugar, seal+shake the bag until distributed
8- Spread Monkey Munch on wax paper to cool/dry
9- YUM! Enjoy your monkey munch. Makes a great gift. Source: http://www.food.com/recipe/monkey-munch-from-jon-and-kate-plus-8-290434. **READ BELOW
